Great YSA!

We have a really great group of Young Single Adults in our branch right now. Here we are at a resturant saying goodbye to Amalia who was leaving to go to BYU Idaho. George on the far left will be turning in his missionary papers next week. Cloey - dead center - is from CA and she has since gone home. Next to her is George's sister, Keti, who is waiting to get her missionary call. Amalia is next to her. The other boy is Amalia's brother. Here's the rest of the crew. Far left is Alex, E. Reese's finance clerk. He is sitting next to Mari, then Eric, then Lasha (YSA Pres.) and then Akaki who will be leaving in a week for a mission in England.

It's hard to say good bye to new friends. Cloe has been here for about 6 months and has been just delightful - we will miss her!

Amalia was one of my first friends here. She will be an amazing student and I am so glad she has this oportunity to get a good education - and she gets to see Ashlee and Peter!

A Month of Baptisms!!!

This has been a great month for baptisms! First Rapo was baptized by his dad (he was afraid to get interviewed by Pres. Reese - until we bribed him with a candy bar!) Then Jeff's good friend Kunle from Nigeria was baptized - he even asked me to play the piano for the musical number - I tried to tell him I wasn't very good, but he had listened to me practice one week and wanted me to play - I was honored.

Then Tamari turned 8 and was so excited to be baptized. She even played a lovely song on the piano for the musical number.

Friday the 13th was a lucky day for Avlabari branch and these three young men. Wow - 3 on one day - it's an amazing time for Georgia as our missionaries find those looking for the truth.

Our Missionaries have met some wonderful young men from Nigeria. Jeff was baptized a few months ago and sadly, has gone back to Nigeria. Kunle was just baptized last Saturday. They are great men and they speak English!

Spring is here!

The first flowers of spring have started to appear on the streets. They make my kitchen smell wonderful! Now it's hard to decide what coat to wear - will it be hot or cold???

A WEDDING!!!

We are very happy to announce that Peter has asked Ashlee to marry him and she said yes. We are so excited to have Ashlee joining our family - she will be a great addition. They make a cute couple, don't you think?!?!? We are very proud of them both. They will be getting married on April 20 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Peter is living and working for AT&T in Idaho Falls and Ashlee is going to school at BYU Idaho close by in Rexburg.
